About

Dipl.-Ing. Jörg Hugo studied architecture at the RWTH Aachen (Department of Architecture) and the University for Applied Arts Vienna (Masterclass Zaha Hadid), receiving his diploma in 2004 with distinction.

Prior to the formation of moh architects Hugo worked as senior associate at CoopHimmelb(l)au and has been a member of the Institute of Architecture at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, teaching at the Studio of Wolf D. Prix and Hani Rashid until 2016.

In 2018 Jörg founded his own Studio for Design and Architecture in Berlin. Prior to this he became the Head of the Rapid-Prototyping Department at the Weissensee Kunsthochschule Berlin and worked as Design Architect for Studio Olafur Eliasson. 

Hugo’s work focuses on the relationship between materiality, form and space. He develops research-driven techniques in the field of design and architecture by digital and analogue design methods and production techniques.

Studio Jörg Hugo is an internationally recognised design practice with awards such as a.o. the German Design Award, the Red Dot Award, the iconic Awards and the Asian Design Prize.
