CERAMIC BODIES 02 is an iteration of an evolving research project exploring self-forming processes of viscous materials in stretchable molds under force, a process which is closely linked to the understanding of its boundary conditions defined by the designer.
The bodies reflect an interplay between the viscosity of plaster, an elastic mold and the outer constraints. Due to different viscosities, there is a hierarchy of soft interlocking within their boundary. By different degrees of hardening and various size and orientation, the four bodies fit together to form a three-dimensional puzzle, the basis for the manufacturing process of porcelain vases.
